Today we learned about how different leaves can be. We worked with partners. Each group got different kinds of leaves: needles, leaves and scales. Which one? Deciduous and Coniferous were the two options. We had to say what what the same and what was different. It was really fun I think.

Lock and Dam #6
We got to visit Lock and Dam #6 in Trempealeau, WI. It was very interesting. We even got to walk out on a gate in the lock and walk above the dam. Later, we went to Perrot State Park for a picnic. I can't believe it's our last field trip of the year.

Third Grade Field Trip
Today we went to Prairie Island for some fun outdoor activities led by The WSU Outdoor Education and Recreation Center. We went on a nature trail around the deer park, took pictures with digital cameras, did a low ropes course, played disc golf and played on the playground. Later we had a picnic lunch. We also got to visit the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. We saw some amazing works of art including paintings by Monet and Renoir. One exhibit was about fish x-rays. It was an action packed day.

Pringle Challenge
Today we built designs for the Pringle challenge. We tested them. Some of them broke but some of them did not break. We will be redesigning soon.
